BBC Five Live Show about Kidney Donars .. excellent!

This morning on BBC FIVELIVE Radio Station [ 909mw or online at www.bbc.co.uk/fivelive ] Victoria Darbyshires Show had an hour long feature on Kidney Disease and Organ Donations in the UK. This show is well worth a listen. To hear the show it is available as a PODCAST. You can download it from here:

www.bbc.co.uk/radio/podcasts/5lnpi/

Look for "5LNPI: Organ Donars, 04 Oct 07" under latest episodes, here you will see a "Download Episode" button - click this button to listen [ on PC - right click, save target as - to save it to your harddisk for later ].

"Today we asked - would you give an organ to a stranger? Two British couples have donated and received kidneys from each other in the first paired transplants in the UK. Roma Horrell needed a new kidney and her husband wasn't compatible, so he donated one of his own to a patient in Scotland. In return, the Scottish man's wife donated a kidney to Mrs Horrell. There aren't enough organs coming from people who die - so shouldn't we make up the gap by having more "live" donations like this....?

Hope you find this of interest,

Supergirl.

Hat’s off. Well done, as we know that “hard work always pays off”, after a long struggle with sincere effort it’s done.
